Seahawks 12th Man Cave - Legion of "Room"
Out of man cave ideas? Don’t fret, we have got your covered with an awesome DIY man cave from one amazing Seahawks fan.
Every guy dreams of having his own man room one day. But not every man acts upon his desires to reign over his domain and relish in team memorabilia while shooting pool, crushing his opponents in ping pong, and of course, watching the game on Sundays.
Interviewing Mark about his epic man cave taught us that while you do need to start with some vision for your room, you can tweak the details along the way as you learn more about what you like through the process. We hope the photos below and Q&A section inspire our fellow man to stop trying to plan the “perfect” cave, but just start building and change your strategy as you go. Sometimes us guys can run into the “analysis paralysis” syndrome and never get started on a project we so badly want to pursue. Don’t let this happen to you!
We know each guy has a different style, so we try to feature different types of man caves on our blog and all over our website. But for now, check out Mark’s masterpiece below!

Part 2: Interview with the Creator
1) You are obviously a diehard Seattle Seahawks fan. At what point, did you realize that building a Seahawks man cave was no longer a "wishlist" item and was a feat you needed to accomplish?
I was preparing for the garage/man cave long before it was created, as we were lucky enough to build our new home from the ground up. I already had a lot of memorabilia, but I began to acquire specific pieces to create the different themes on the walls such as the Legion of BOOM shrine and the Russell Wilson shrine.
2) Did you start your build process with a specific vision in mind? Did that vision change throughout the process?
The vision was always there, but during the process more details and little projects arose to make the man cave more epic. Examples are the Seahawk mini helmet pool chalk holders and the ping pong table topper.
3) Besides being the absolutely perfect place to watch every Seahawks game, what does your man cave mean to you? Do you feel as though your life is any different?
My man cave is my sanctuary. Anytime I'm gaming or just watching ESPN, I'm surrounded by my favorite Seahawks and I can always look to the replica Lombardi trophy for inspiration (I ordered it the day we won the Super Bowl).
4) In your opinion, what's the best man cave idea you have come up with so far? Do you have any crazy ideas you want to implement in the future?
It's tough to single out one idea as the best and I'm sure there are plenty things I'll be wanting to implement in the future. But for now, my favorite portion is a toss-up between the Russell Wilson shrine and the Legion of BOOM shrine. Lots of effort went into the planning of those.
5) You mentioned that you did a lot of custom work. Did you do this to add your own personal touch, save money, or simply because there was nothing on the market that you thought would work, so you decided to man up and do it yourself?
Most of the custom work was done, because most of the stuff out there on the market is too basic. They just slap a small Seahawk logo on a regular couch and call it a Seahawks couch. Not me man. A Seahawks couch must be better than that. And my mother-in-law is a seamstress, so we were able to bring my visions to life with a little fabric and some time. Plus it's nice to know that it's all unique. There isn't another couch out there like mine or most everything else in my cave. One-of-a-kind fan cave here. Hoping maybe one day I could have Russell Wilson and the gang over to play some ping pong or pool and admire the several Lombardi trophies on the wall. Should be two up there now, but we'll have to wait until Super Bowl L.
