Diehard NY Giants Man Cave & Interview

Diehard NY Giants Man Cave & Interview

Who is the only man to douse his boss in a Gatorade shower after a successful project at work?

We’re not quite sure, but we know it was one of the New York Giants fans, because they invented the tradition back in 1980. Although this is not a great idea, some of the best man cave ideas we have seen have also come from NY Giants fans. And what we are about to showcase is no exception.

You won’t find a speckle of Philly green in this all blue New York Football Giants man cave. The owner, creator, and diehard Giants fan, @banks3235 has created one of the most epic sports man caves of all time. According to our interview with Brian, he hasn’t done it alone either. With support from his friends and his wife connecting with the one and only Michael Strahan (our interview has the details!), he has forged a room that anyone could take great pride in. And like any devout sports fan, he’s not done yet and plans to continue adding to his man cave until he runs out of room…in which case he’ll need to expand to the garage or even a larger house that can contain his fanaticism!

Part 2: Michael Strahan Shrine

Michael Strahan was recently enshrined in Canton’s Hall of Fame shortly after he became eligible (no surprise). But why just have one shrine? Brian has created his own for #92, one of the best defensive linemen to ever play the game. And if simply collecting Strahan memorabilia isn’t enough, he has made sure to snap a picture with himself and Strahan on multiple occasions…check out these photos!

Part 3: Interview with the Creator

1. Besides "everything", what part of your man cave are you most proud of?

I'm proud of every piece! But the pieces from my son who passed away 6 years ago are my favorites! Some of the pieces that are special to me are my LT autographed helmet from when I met him, my immense card collection, the jerseys I had autographed by all the Giants from the past few years, and the jerseys and clothes I have bought for my kids since birth that they have outgrown!

2. How did your Giants man cave begin? Did you acquire a certain piece or did a specific event happen when you thought: "Hey, I should create a man cave!"

My father-in-law has the ultimate NY Yankees man cave and dating my wife, I partially grew up at their house and he planted that seed in my head from how awesome his was!

3. At any point in forging your cave, did you need to change your strategy about how to arrange all of your memorabilia?

My man cave is ever evolving, my strategy has to change every time I get a new piece for my room! I have to move five things to fit one in! It takes hours! But I love it!

4. What is the most interesting story about how you acquired one of your pieces of memorabilia?

My wife always watched Regis and Kelly and when Michael Strahan took over, we became fans of the show! My wife tweets Strahan and became friends with him, so we get to meet him a lot, get things signed, and hang out! I have a wall of just Strahan memories and items. He was always one of my favorite Giants! And he's such a great guy as well!

5. Did anyone tell you that you were crazy when you began building it, but then saw the end product and take back everything they said when they saw how awesome it looked?

Nobody ever said I was crazy, they all feed the fire by buying me stuff for Christmas and birthdays! But they say my room is becoming more crazy by the month because of it.

6. What is the next major addition or plan for your man cave?

I'm trying to figure out the next step like adding to my room, creative ideas to fit more! I'm only 33 years old so I see a huge garage or another house by the time I retire! I love doing this and I see no end to my collection!
